Jaron DeBerry is one step closer to the major leagues.

DeBerry, the 6'4 pitcher from Trophy Club was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the third round (93rd overall pick) of the MLB Draft. 

He pitched for the Vikings in 2022, finishing 4-0 with a 3.27 ERA. He struck out 60 in 41.1 innings. He spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Dallas Baptist, compiling a 10-2 record in 36 appearances (18 starts) in that time.
